According to the Americans for the Arts' Public Opinion Poll in 2021, Americans believe more strongly than ever that the arts promote personal well-being, give us a sense of community, and are essential to a well-rounded education. But even with all of that being said, there is still inequality within the arts as not everyone has the same access to the arts. Please see the infographic below with more information:

Do you ever find yourself admiring a piece of artwork and wishing to yourself that you had artistic talent? If the answer is “YES!” You’ve stumbled upon the perfect art blog for you. My name is Sophie Glass, also known as Sophie Paintz, and I am a self-taught artist based in Bloomington, Minnesota. I am Ethiopian, Lakota and I’m an enrolled member of the Red Lake Band of Ojibwe. I am currently a team member of Buckanaga Social Club, which is a group of Indigenous artists located across the state of Minnesota. With the benefits of today’s technology, we can easily collaborate on projects in a way that fits into our busy home and work lives.
